well i've tried afterstep 1.0 and 2.0 (dev).
I wish i had something in between. 1.0 was VERY fast and had a small footprint. 2.0 has some features i don't like and some other features i dont want to live without lol.
Either way its so peppy compared to gnome i'm actually thinking about switching.
